With September being Suicide Preventtion Month, we want to shed light on how important it is to note that suicide can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, socioeconomic status, or background and that it can happen at any time.
Sports tend to reward toughness, perfectionism, and competitiveness. At the same time, athletes are discouraged from “taking it easy” or asking for help. Younger athletes, statistically, are less likely to seek treatment for their mental health struggles than other young adults. Read about this more in our blog post.

With that, it comes to our attention that this seems to bring up a bigger issue with how we view happiness and allowing ourselves to enjoy life as it comes. What issue could that be you ask?
