Keely Cruz, Intern

Keely is an intern at West Michigan Psychological Services who is competent to work with individuals, groups, and couples, and she strives to create a welcoming space for all. She is also passionate about serving the young people in our community and currently works at a residential crisis shelter for adolescents. Keely is from Battle Creek, Michigan, and moved to West Michigan two years ago.

Keely earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Olivet College in 2021. During her time at Olivet College, Keely was a three-year member of the tennis team and a four-year member of the International Honors Society in Psychology (PSI CHI). Keely is now working toward a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Aquinas College, and her prospective graduation date is May 2024. While working with Keely, she seeks to support individuals as they explore their strengths and greater understanding of themselves. She believes you are the expert of your own life, and change happens through the collaborative therapeutic relationship.

Aside from the classroom and counseling sessions, Keely enjoys spending time with her fiance, Jack. She also loves photography, iced coffee, yoga, traveling, and gardening. She loves all animals, but she especially loves Boo Kitty– her little black cat companion of 14 years!
